About SOKKAH 26

SOKKAH 26 is a project that celebrates the journey of Australian football.

From the World Cup qualification heartbreaks of the past, to the exciting future that lies ahead as the Sokkahroos head to their 7th World Cup, this edition explores the full spectrum of our game.

Inside, you’ll find What If 1994, the story of what could have happened if Australia had qualified for the 1994 World Cup, an extensive Socceroos Group D World Cup preview created in collaboration with Round Ball Australia, and a free World Cup wall chart included with every issue.

SOKKAH 26 also looks at the present and future of Australian football through stories like The Fall of Western Sydney Wanderers, exploring how a club went from Asian Champions to wooden spooners, Next Up, highlighting A-League talents on the verge of overseas moves, and Barriers to be Broken, applying the Berwick City framework to the wider Australian football landscape by identifying 12 clubs with the potential to break barriers.

But this time, SOKKAH 26 is more than just a magazine.

It is an opportunity to support local creatives having a crack in the name of the game we love. Every product on this site has been curated with love, care and devotion.

Profits from all individual item sales will go directly to the creatives involved, helping them keep fighting the good fight in the name of Sokkah.
